Holiday cheer is taking a terrifying turn in Las Vegas this winter. Universal Horror Unleashed, Universal Destinations & Experiences’ year-round horror attraction in AREA15, has announced its first-ever seasonal event: Krampus & Kin. Running on select nights from November 15, 2025, through January 3, 2026, the experience promises a chilling twist on traditional holiday festivities.
According to Universal’s website, Krampus & Kin will feature “four relentless haunted houses and nightmarish winter legends,” giving fans of horror and folklore plenty to scream about. Visitors will have the rare chance to encounter Krampus, the horned, Germanic figure known for punishing naughty children, as well as other dark holiday characters like Grýla, the child-eating Icelandic troll, and possibly more creatures pulled from European winter mythology.
- Universal promises themed photo opportunities with Krampus and his monstrous kin, allowing guests to snap a perfectly creepy holiday card.
- There will also be fiendishly festive food and drink offerings, adding a sinister spin to seasonal treats.
- A processional of horrific beings will roam the venue throughout the night, bringing the fright directly to visitors in an immersive way.
This marks the first holiday season and overlay for Universal Horror Unleashed, which opened earlier in August 2025 as Universal’s very first permanent horror experience outside of its theme parks, with a second location lined up for Chicago.

Located at AREA15 in Las Vegas, the venue features four themed haunted houses, live scareactors, special effects, horror-themed bars, and exclusive merchandise. Universal initially stated the featured content would rotate throughout the year, making it a living, breathing horror destination that evolves with the seasons.
With Krampus & Kin, Universal is clearly embracing its roots in folklore horror while offering a seasonal experience for fans seeking a darker holiday celebration. Whether you’re a seasoned haunt veteran or just looking for something different this winter, why not go pay a visit to Krampus in Las Vegas?
