Universal has officially announced the first show lined up for Halloween Horror Nights 35 at Universal Studios Florida.
Universal shared on social media:
Show Announcement: Nightmare Fuel: Blood Noir
Embark on a dark musical journey and resist temptation as death-defying stunts lure you deeper into a vampire-ridden metropolis.
For some Halloween Horror Nights fans, Nightmare Fuel has become just as much a tradition as the haunted houses themselves. The new production is expected to take over the former Fear Factor Live theater in the World Expo area of Universal Studios Florida, a massive venue that has served as the home for the Nightmare Fuel series since its debut. The theater originally housed the Fear Factor stunt show before closing permanently in 2021, and it has since been used almost exclusively for Halloween Horror Nights entertainment.
While Universal has only shared a brief synopsis so far, the “Blood Noir” vampire-filled metropolis suggests a darker, more gothic aesthetic (think Sin City) than recent circus-themed installments. Nightmare Fuel shows typically features a blend of aerial performers, pyrotechnics, dance, and illusion work.
The announcement also comes as a bit of surprise to HHN followers. The Fuel Girls — the main pyro performers behind Nightmare Fuel — regularly appear in large-scale productions around the world. They recently published their fall tour dates, with stops essentially everywhere except Orlando, Florida. It seems there may be a newer crew lined up for Blood Noir.
