Creatures Inside Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure

We are still a couple months away from the grand opening of Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure, but Universal Orlando has decided to start getting us excited for the brand new attraction coming to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade at Islands of Adventure by sharing photos and videos of the creatures you’ll experience on the attraction! Everyday from April 15 – April 19, Universal is sharing a new creature, so be sure to check back each day to see what’s new!

Fluffy, the Three-Headed Dog

The first creature that was revealed for Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure is Fluffy, the Three-Headed Dog! You probably remember Fluffy from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s (Philosopher’s) Stone as the guard dog that falls asleep to the sound of music and is one of the defenses set up to protect the stone. Here, you’ll find the 8,000 lb. Fluffy tucked away in the Forbidden Forest.

Cornish Pixies

Another interesting group of creatures you’ll see on Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure are the Cornish Pixies! The Cornish Pixies were first seen in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, and if you’re having trouble remembering them, they are mischievous little creatures that fly around and, in Neville Longbottom’s case, pick you up by the ears.

The Cornish Pixies you’ll see on Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure are about 13 inches tall and will be wreaking havoc on the Flying Ford Anglia. You’ll find more than twenty throughout the entire adventure!

Devil’s Snare

Who knew that one of the scariest encounters of Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventures would be with a plant? The Devil’s Snare is at its best in environments like the Forbidden Forest and can easily entangle victims in its vines. If you remain calm, it won’t strangle you as quickly, but you may also be able to take advantage of its dislike of light and fire.

If you’re looking to find Devil’s Snare in the movies, look no further than Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s (Philosopher’s) Stone. Like Fluffy, it is another one of the obstacles that Harry, Ron and Hermione had to get past in order to get to the Mirror of Erised and the Sorcerer’s (Philosopher’s) Stone!

Centaurs

It wouldn’t be the Forbidden Forest without Centaurs, so it’s no surprise that you’ll find this creature during Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure! The creature with the upper half of a human body and the lower half of a horse’s body that we’ll find during the attraction is a mysterious archer that will be 8 ft. tall and standing at a distance ready to strike.

If you’re looking for a Centaur, like many of the creatures on this list, look no further than Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s (Philosopher’s) Stone. In the first installment of the series, Harry Potter has an interaction with Firenze while Harry was in the Forbidden Forest.

Blast-Ended Skrewts

If you’re not familiar with the Blast-Ended Skrewt, you’re not alone. That’s because we’ll be seeing this creature for the first time ever on Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure! While the Blast-Ended Skrewts have been in the books, including Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, they have never actually appeared in the movies!

The Blast-Ended Skrewts are up to 8 feet long with tails up to 10 feet high and topped with a massive stinger and they just happen to be the lesson of the day during the attraction. If you never read the books, Hagrid actually created the Blast-Ended Skrewt when he crossbred Fire Crabs and Manticores. Besides the fire that come from their blasting-end, the Blast-Ended Skrewt also has a powerful scent that smells like rotting fish.
