TapTu Pay Makes the TapuTapu Wearable A LOT Better

Volcano Bay is nearly open, so the Official Universal Orlando Blog has chosen to continue the hype train with more information on the TapuTapu wearable. Yes, we already know a lot about the free device everyone gets when entering the new park, including how it will allow you to join Virtual Lines for all of the attractions and set off interactive experiences with TapTu Play. Well, it will also feature something very convenient – TapTu Pay.

Using the Official Universal Orlando Resort App, you can sign up for an account and then link a credit card for payments at Volcano Bay. That means if you want to put your purse or wallet and other valuables in a locker (which can also be opened with the TapuTapu wearable) you no longer have to worry about carrying cash or credit cards throughout your day. It really couldn’t be any simpler. Unlike MagicBands, which only allow charging privileges for Walt Disney World resort guests, this function will be available for EVERYONE, and currently only available at Volcano Bay.

Also, scattered throughout the park will be interactive photo ops, selfie stations, and on-ride photos at select attractions, so it’s pretty convenient that the TapuTapu wearable will automatically link your photos to that same account you made to use TapTu Pay. Through the app, you can view, purchase, and share your photos with your My Universal Photo access.

Universal’s incredibly themed water theme park opens May 25, so get excited and ready to start tapping away!
