All the Characters You Can Find at Universal Studios Florida

When vacationers think of iconic characters, they usually think of the mice that live down the road from Universal, but there are actually some fantastic characters here. Guests can find fan favorites like Scooby-doo, Shrek, and the Simpsons. Here is a look at all the meet-and-greet opportunities that Universal Studios Florida has.

On the Hollywood side of the park, guests can find several characters throughout the day. The appearance of characters is subject to change but keep an eye out while walking the streets of Hollywood. This meet-and-greet spot is called Hollywood Character Zone; you never know who you will see.

Over by what used to be KidZone, there is a SpongeBob merchandise location. Here guest can meet their favorite characters from Bikini Bottom before or after exploring the store. This shop is next to the E.T. Adventure and across from Springfield, U.S.A.: Home of the Simpsons.

In Springfield, U.S.A.: Home of the Simpsons, guests can meet various members of America’s favorite family and other residents of Springfield. The meet and greet is near the attraction, so you can meet them before or after riding.

Over in Production Central, you can meet a Transformer. This is a really unique meet and greet that takes place outside of the ride. It’s the perfect experience for someone that loves the movies and enjoys the attraction. I am not the biggest Transformers fan, but every time I pass by the characters, I’m impressed with how different it is from the rest of the meet and greet experiences.

In the London area, guests can find the Knight Bus just outside Diagon Alley. This is a unique meet and greet experience that is like no other in the park. Here guests can speak with a talkative shrunken head that occasionally converses with the bus conductor. It is an interaction that will have you laughing the entire time.

I love meeting characters no matter which park I am visiting. At Universal Studios Florida, my favorite meet and greet is between the Knight Bus and Shrek. I grew up watching the movie with my dad, and it quickly became one of my favorites. Being able to meet my favorite Ogre was a dream come true, and it was a hilarious experience. Sadly since KidZone closed, I have not been able to find Shrek while visiting, but I hope to see him soon. I highly recommend putting some time aside to meet characters while visiting this park.
