Prepare to encounter even more oversized shoes, sinister smiles, and cotton candy cocoons during Halloween Horror Nights 35!
Universal Orlando has announced that the Killer Klowns from Outer Space are “coming to the street” of Halloween Horror Nights, teasing the addition with the message: “Klown around and find out. More deets coming soon.” While Universal hasn’t shared exactly what form the experience will take, one thing is clear: we should all expect plenty of twisted circus chaos roaming Universal Studios Florida this fall.
Because Universal specifically says the Klowns are coming to the street of Halloween Horror Nights, this isn’t another haunted house announcement. Though, it’s yet to be revealed whether that means roaming hordes of Killer Klowns, a dedicated scare zone, or a combination of both…
Last year, guests encountered Art the Clown roaming select areas of the park, creating some of the event’s most memorable interactions outside of the haunted houses. It’s possible Universal could take a similar approach with the Killer Klowns, or, this could also hint at a clown-takeover themed scare zone.
With Jack the Clown and Dr. Oddfellow serving as the faces of Halloween Horror Nights 35, the event already has a strong carnival and clown presence. Adding the colorful campy Killer Klowns from the 1988 cult classic only strengthens that theme.
Prior to this 2026 appearance, their previous full-scale run at Universal Orlando Resort was during Halloween Horror Nights 29 in 2019, which featured a dedicated haunted house. They also previously featured as a scare zone during the 2018 event.
