Universal Orlando experiences power outage on 25th anniversary

Universal Orlando celebrated its 25th anniversary on Sunday, June 7, and spent most of the day experiencing “technical difficulties” resulting from a power outage.   Guests on social media reported that credit card machines were all down in the parks and parking garages.

Company spokesman Tom Schroder said, “We had a power outage that impacted our ability to process credit cards and handle some operations. We processed things manually during this time and did the best we could to help our guests. Fortunately, our attractions were not impacted.” He said that everything was back online by 5:00pm.
